Debris Management Program

The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and other state agencies are supporting Boulder County Public Works’ Resource Conservation Division as they coordinate a debris removal program for property owners in Louisville, Superior, and unincorporated Boulder County with structures that were destroyed by the Marshall Fire.

    • Non-hazardous household materials (expired food, smoke damage) initiated 01/04/2022
    • Ongoing with proposed sectors and dates forthcoming from Boulder County
    • Right of Way (ROW) removal of cars, trees and materials blocking access
    • Exigent Boulder Co. contract reported to begin removal operations week of 01/10/2022
    • Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) removal
    • State of Colorado authority to see if HHW removal can begin without a Right of Entry (ROE)
    • Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) for 1100 residential parcels
    • Current expectation that Boulder Co. will perform, federal ESF partners leaning forward
