Complete this Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Notice of Intent/Interest (NOI) Form to start the process.

FEMA's Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grant programs provide funding for eligible mitigation activities that reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property from future disasters. HMA includes the following grant programs: Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) and Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC). Prior to completing an application, interested jurisdictions must complete this NOI form to determine HMA eligibility. NOI forms are accepted and reviewed by DHSEM's Hazard Mitigation Team at all times throughout the non-disaster and disaster grant cycles.

Once a project proposal is cleared as eligible, sub-applicants are then encouraged to apply for HMA funding with the DHSEM Hazard Mitigation Team.
